Closer to the fast lane (Toledo Blade, Mar 21): "AFTER years of creeping along in the breakdown lane, the Ohio Turnpike Commission finally has given the gas to a plan to install E-ZPass lanes along the Ohio Turnpike." Read more
Narrows bridge transponders will need shield in HOT lanes (Tacoma News Tribune, Mar 26): "State highway officials will start collecting tolls next month from solo drivers who want to buy their way into the car-pool lanes on Highway 167 in South King County. The tolls will be paid via transponders, just like the Narrows bridge Good To Go program. But drivers with a transponder and passenger or two will have to take extra measures to avoid paying when they shouldn’t have to." Read more

CTA's bus tracker system to be expanded (Chicago Tribune, Mar 26): "CTA officials on Monday promised a radical change in service—buses that actually run on a reliable schedule—with the expansion in two weeks of a bus-tracking system that delivers projected arrival times at bus stops to anyone with a computer, cell phone or other wireless device."
