Intelligent Freight Transportation by Petros A. Ioannou (CRC Press, Mar 18, 2008): "Bringing together experts from industry, academia, and other stakeholders, Intelligent Freight Transportation addresses freight transportation problems by raising issues, proposing solutions, and discussing obstacles from different points of view. The book is a collection of papers that explore different problems and issues, focusing on ports and container terminals and the way they interact with surface transportation. Under the aegis of Petros Ioannou, the contributors present a wide range of technologies and techniques which can boost capacity, reduce cost, and improve efficiency. They highlight important environmental and labor union issues which can affect the implementation of advanced technologies no matter how promising they appear to be."
